Day 2: “Seek Peace ad Pursue it” - Praying with St. Benedict

‘Pax’: Peace is the motto of the Benedictine order. This day will explore how following the gentle rhythm of praying the Psalms can lead to inner peace during each day in our busy lives.

The day will also explore St. Benedict’s approach to prayer as outlined in his Rule for monks and show how his teaching can be adapted for use by all who seek to develop their prayer life.

The day will also include an exploration of the ancient practice of “Lectio Divina” as a way of opening the Scriptures to us in depth and leading to contemplation and the silence which is God.
